Such Trying Times is the debut album by Belvedere Kane to be released on 13th February 2026.

Described by Blitzed magazine as ‘an album packed full of catchy hooks and pop culture references, combined with a masterful understanding of what makes pop…Pop!’

Belvedere Kane is the brainchild of music producer and song writer Barry Stone whose single ‘Never Felt As Good’ released in 1996 (‘one of the twenty best singles of the 1990’s' - Pop Justice)  sadly failed to scale the charts, consigning it to the lost classic status it still holds today.

The album that should’ve followed was subsequently shelved. However, to mark the 30th anniversary of the singles release Barry decided to return to the album and in so doing fell in love with Belvedere Kane all over again, “I remembered how much these songs had meant to me” and describes assembling the album now as "a bit like writing a love letter to my younger self.”

This lost album by Belvedere Kane is a triumph, full of synth driven, high octane, pop bangers complete with thunderclaps, bombastic brass and sweeping strings.

A glittering highlight is a brand new song ‘Legends (Forever Young)’ by Belvedere Kane with Dead Or Alive, a band Barry worked closely with in the nineties, co-producing their sixth studio album and whose members Steve Coy and Pete Burns, he has dedicated the album to.

"I'm so excited that people are finally going to hear this album that's been hidden away for so long. I'm extremely proud of it and so happy that I've been able to finish now what younger me started then”.
